Project summary
The Black Forest project is one of the most prominent entertainment projects in City Walk – Jeddah, combining an atmosphere of horror and suspense in an immersive experience spanning nearly 2,000 square meters. The project is designed to be a unique destination for fans of visual adventures and mysterious stories, with an environment that mimics the atmosphere of a dark, thrilling forest.
The Black Forest area comprises four independent buildings, each designed with a distinct style that aligns with the overall project concept. Facades vary, utilizing wood, foam, and paint to give each building a unique identity within the event’s overall framework. Meticulous attention was paid to detail in creating the overall landscape to reflect the depth of the experience. Large-scale artistic elements, such as dead trees and terrifying sculptures, are distributed throughout the site, along with carefully considered thematic lighting to enhance the immersive atmosphere and highlight the details of horror and suspense. This results in a complete sensory experience that blends design, creativity, and imagination.
Mentor's role in the Black Forest project at City Walk
Mentor Contracting Company undertook the implementation of a comprehensive set of architectural and artistic works within the Black Forest project in City Walk – Jeddah, to embody the vision of the entertainment experience with its mysterious and exciting character.
Architectural works and facades
- Construction of facades for four independent buildings with diverse designs.
- Installation of main and subframe structures.
- Installation of cement boards as a base for cladding.
- Final finishing using paints, wood, and foam.
Artwork and lighting
- Design and implementation of large-scale, spooky art elements (creepy tree, spider sculpture, dead trees).
- Integration of illuminated logos and aesthetic elements within the site.
- Implementation of themed lighting systems that enhance the immersive atmosphere and highlight the details of the experience.
